The Calcamper fleet is made up of 6 berth motorhomes from the manufacturers Rimor and Benimar and 2/4 berth campervans from Weinsberg.

What does Air Conditioning actually mean?
Air Conditioning in motorhomes is not as simple as it may appear. There are 2 possibilities and you should know before you go:
- Cabin AC
This works like AC in a car in that it comes through the vents at the front of the vehicle. This is the AC that is most standard in rented motorhomes but does have the disadvantge that the engine must be running for it to work. This system is most suitable for use whilst driving and is not intended to be used while the vehicle is stationary (for long periods).
- Living Area AC
This works off of a 220V power source and is focused on the living area of the motorhome. The need of a 220V supply means that the motorhome must be connected to the mains at a camp site.
At Calcamper we use Cabin AC since this meets the principal wish of our customers in the summer months... avoid the sweltering heat of the day whilst on the move.

Night and Day
Our vehicles have been perfectly designed for maximum comfort and space.
During the day space is maximized by having the main double bed over the cabin, out of the way, and enabling the second double to be totally removed and converted to a dining/seating area quickly and easily.
In addition, in the 6 berth models, the lower bunk bed can be pushed into a vertical position,
leaving enough storage space for 3 bicycles or even a small scooter (accessable
from the side door).
And at night it can all be reversed in minutes... sleeping up to 6 people very comfortably.
